Barry Norris
Founding Partner, Fund Manager

Barry founded Argonaut Capital Partners in 2005 and manages the YFS Argonaut Absolute Return Fund and the YFS Argonaut Flexible Fund.

Prior to setting up Argonaut, Barry was Head of European Equities at Neptune Investment Management where he managed the Neptune European Opportunities Fund from its launch in November 2002. Prior to Neptune, Barry worked at Baillie Gifford as an equity analyst.

Barry graduated from Cambridge University in 1996 with an MA in History, and in 1997 with an MPhil in International Relations (with distinction). He holds the CFA charter.

James joined Argonaut Capital Partners in December 2024 and is responsible for investor relations and business development.

Prior to Argonaut, James was a Partner at Sylvatica Partners LLP (part of Lancaster Investment Management) and before that he was a Partner at Odey Asset Management (2012-2023), responsible for UK and US institutional clients. He also worked as an analyst at CI Capital in Cairo (2009-12) and an investment manager at Brown Shipley in London (2007-09).

James graduated from the University of Durham in 2005 with a BA (Hons) in History. He holds the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI) Diploma.

Rory joined Argonaut Capital Partners in 2016 and is Argonaut’s Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Prior to Argonaut, Rory was Operations manager at Nevastar Finance, responsible for all middle and back-office functions (2010-2016). Previously he worked as a rates negotiator at GFI (2009-2010), an OTC credit settlement officer for Credit Suisse (2007-2009) and as a business advisor for Natwest (2004-2007).

Eugénie joined Argonaut Capital Partners in June 2025 and is Head of Legal & Compliance.

Prior to Argonaut, she held senior legal and compliance roles at Perwyn Advisors UK Limited and Odey Asset Management and prior to that she worked at CMC Markets. She practiced law in Italy for three years before relocating to London in 2018 and since Brexit has worked extensively with both the FCA and European regulators on fund marketing rules, passporting, and post-Brexit licensing regimes.

Eugénie graduated from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan in 2016 with a Master’s degree in Law. She holds the CISI Level 4 Investment Compliance Diploma as well as the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing.

Alex joined Argonaut Capital Partners in December 2024 as an equity analyst.

Prior to Argonaut, Alex was a highly ranked analyst within Panmure Gordon’s equity research team and before that he was a Senior Associate at PwC LLP (2015 – 2018), responsible for auditing Insurance & Investment Management businesses.

Alex graduated from the University of Bristol in 2011 with a BEng in Mechanical Engineering. He holds the CFA charter and is also a Chartered Accountant (ACA).

Justin joined Argonaut Capital Partners in 2014 and is responsible for Argonaut’s finances.

Prior to Argonaut, Justin was a founding partner of Leigh Saxton Green, a West End firm of accountants. Justin graduated as an Associate and Registered Auditor with The Chartered Association of Certified Accountants in 1993 and was admitted as a Fellow in 1998.

Andrew joined Argonaut Capital Partners as Head of Client Services in February 2024.

Prior to Argonaut, Andrew was Head of Client Services at Odey Asset Management (1994-2024) and prior to that he worked as Portfolio Assistant in the Private Client department of Baring Private Investment Management Ltd.

Andrew holds the SFA Registered Representatives Certificate.

Georgia joined Argonaut Capital Partners in January 2023 as an analyst in Operations. Prior to Argonaut, Georgia worked at Trophaeum Asset Management and Bernstein Autonomous in a similar role.
